Story
Chronicles of Fate
The short-lived document "Chronicles of Fate", which provided a highly-detailed story for episodes 1 and 2, sadly cuts off in the middle of this episode.
Here is what was written, for posterity:
:They bail him out, using his own money. He claims himself as his own counsel, and, through a loophole, is allowed to stay in his own home.

====Means====
The foul murder was committed through magic. Rajiv Djenispool was found deceased on the evening of blee, with no apparent cause of death.
An inquiry, under the direction of Court Wizard Senior Beldir Morcanus, searched the residence of Dorian Adricus and apprehended his spellbook. They found that Dorian Adricus had use of a spell known as Nybor’s Wrathful Castigation, designed originally by the late Zulkir Nybor of Thay. Red Wizard Mierov Karssond, representing the Calimport enclave, will testify to overseeing the sale of a magical scroll containing instructions for the casting of the spell to one Dorian Adricus, on or about the date of 3 Alturiak, 1377.
The inquiry found that magic had rendered Rajiv Djenispool impossible to resurrect. Dorian has a spell to bind souls in his spellbook. (Where is the gem, Dorian?).
====Motive====
Dorian was paying Rajiv Djenispool a series of bribes for political power. When Rajiv continuously failed to deliver, Dorian, in a fit of rage, assassinated him.
It began with a series of magical communication spells, offering magical items and sums of gold as “gifts”. Dorian then arranged to meet Rajiv on 18 Alturiak 1377. Eyewitnesses (Murik Siv and Patel Kossak) will testify as to Rajiv’s mysterious disappearance for two hours on that date. It is not known what was exchanged.
====Opportunity====
They met again on 24 Alturiak and 1 Ches. Finally, Dorian arranged a final meeting. Eyewitness Markel Subek, mage guild member in high standing, clearly saw Dorian and a man he is reasonably sure was Prince Rajiv Djenispool arguing in Dorian’s courtyard. They went inside, and he followed, intending to deliver an invitation to the guild to Dorian personally. The door was answered by a servant, who claimed Dorian was not home. This was the last anyone saw of Rajiv Djenispool alive.
